The doctor that analyzed my sleep study advised and suggested I have several tests performed in regards to critical points of concern with my overall health, but my doctor completely dismissed them and told me to just lose weight. I expressed my desire to take the tests and that my family has a history of the same problems, but I was completely ignored and the tests were never scheduled. I'm disheartened that the sleep study doctor showed more concern for my health over my own doctor.
Dr. Liang is professional treating patient.
It had been at least 4 years since I had seen a doctor. Dr. Lising was my last PCP. I was assigned to Dr. Liang by Blue Shield of CA. I was very anxious and apprehensive about the visit, but Dr. Liang was very good at putting my concerns at ease.
Everything is great with my doctor. Only problem as I said before, St Joseph's should be able to forward my calls directly to my doctor's office when I call in instead of forcing me to leave a message that someone will forward. A patient should at least have the option of being forwarded directly to their doctor's office when calling in with a question or request!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did not see any concern from Dr. Liang. I had hives all over my body, she did not take a look at the hives, just sat at front of the computer. and insisted that it's caused by gluten, because I allergy to gluten. I already told her several times the reaction is different if I had gluten. I requested some tests, she looked at me like I was crazy and said do you know it is impossible to find out what food causes you allergy. I already felt terrible from the hives, I really don't know why I came to see her and suffer the mental abuses! she stepped out for sending the paper to nurse and never came back to the exam room, I still had some questions want to ask her. And it's hard to make an appointment with her, every time I call to the office, either she is not available until next week or she is gone for the day!

Physician Bio

What makes Internal Medicine so rewarding is the chance to develop personal, on-going relationships with my patients, whether they are 18 or 108. Patients immediately pick up on whether you genuinely care about them and their health. There is a famous quote by Theodore Roosevelt, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care" – and that is especially true in Internal Medicine. Regardless of the physician's clinical expertise, a patient's ability to trust and feel comfortable with a doctor starts with whether that physician cares about them as an individual.

I enjoy caring for different generations, from those in their 20s, who need to understand how to keep and improve their health, to seniors, who often have complex, chronic conditions that require careful, consistent care. For every age, listening and education are key. The more I understand a patient's issues and concerns, and the more education I provide, the more empowered and effective they will be in improving their well-being.
