we had a lot of things to talk about since I'd not seen her for two years. I'd listed back pain as a concern I wanted to talk about on the admission form. She rushed me at the end and refused to help with me with my back pain, I critically needed a refereral to the back pain clinic but she said we'd spend too much time together and I should make another appointment (we were together for about 20 minutes). I felt horrible and still do. I felt disrespected and like she didn't care. I had to get a referral from my chiropractor and it cost me money. I'm still in pain. This was beyond uncool.
Enjoyed meeting doctor Kang and having her check up on our new born baby.
I have been going to Dr. Kang (also my daughter's family) for at least 15 years and she has given me the utmost care anyone could ask for. She's an A+ doctor and person!!
It seems to me that the provider has a GREAT fear of treating patients as individuals and tends to want to lump patients into classic categories. ie, age group, drug seekers, etc... That way of practicing makes each patient visit predictable and her documentation easy. I am not sure if this is her personal practice or if this is the edict from the Heritage Medical Group's interpretation of the law. It is always a struggle to enlist her help with what I know works for me. My record will speak for itself as far as my requests. It gets very tiring to have to deal with her. I have gone to this doctor for almost 17 years, but it is time to move on and find a more understanding and personable doctor.
I feel rushed every time I see Dr. Kang. She seems to be quick to get to her next appointment which makes it hard for the patient to address all of the concerns. I feel she hears the keywords of the concern and gives general consultation. Which leads the patient to think she's not really listening.

There is nothing more important to me than the health and safety of your children. As a strong advocate of vaccinations, I believe that ensuring the children who visit our office are fully vaccinated is the single most important thing I can do to keep your children and your community safe. If you choose not to fully vaccinate your child, another physician may be a better fit for your family. If you have questions or would like more information on vaccinations, call our office at (714) 449-6990.
