2014 John Lin Memorial Golf Tournament

Please join us for the John Lin Memorial Golf Tournament on Thursday, April 17 at Coyote Hills Golf Course in Fullerton. This annual tournament began six years ago in memory of John Lin, a longtime member of the St. Jude Memorial Foundation Board of Directors, and continues his legacy of philanthropic support of St. Jude Medical Center.

Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by a prompt shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. Click here for more information, or call the St. Jude Memorial Foundation at (714) 992-3033.

St. Jude Medical Center's 37th Annual Golf Classic

Save the date! The 2014 Golf Classic will take place on Monday, May 19 at Los Coyotes Country Club in Buena Park. This annual event is always a great day of golf, food, and camaraderie. The Golf Classic begins with registration at 9:00 a.m. and a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. Post-tournament festivities include dinner, awards, a silent auction, and opportunity drawings.

Thanks to our generous supporters, last year's tournament raised over $245,000 to support St. Jude Medical Center's stroke care through the purchase of equipment and technology for patient rooms in the new Northwest Patient Tower, which is scheduled to open later this year. Acquiring this advanced technology, such as the neuro-biplane, has opened up the vast world of interventional neurovascular procedures and makes St. Jude Medical Center one of only five Orange County hospitals with such progressive capabilities.

Proceeds from this year's Golf Classic will continue the momentum of transforming stroke care at St. Jude. Your generosity will help provide equipment and technology in the tower's 30-bed unit for stroke patients, featuring a peaceful outdoor healing garden, a physical therapy room, two nurses' stations, a family consultation room, and a comfortable waiting room for visitors. Your support will be an essential piece to providing a continuum of care for stroke patients at St. Jude Medical Center.

To register or make a donation, please click here, or contact Katie Flores, Fundraising Events Manager, at (714) 446-5853 or Katie.Flores@stjoe.org.

Light Up a Life

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Light Up A Life! The Service of Remembrance on Nov. 3 was particularly moving. In the words of long-time Light Up A Life donor Nancy Huebotter, "Having each person bring a lighted candle to the front of the chapel then announce the name of the loved one they were remembering was very moving and powerful."

If you'd like to be added to next year's Light Up A Life mailing list, please contact Sonya Longbotham, Development Manager, at (714) 446-5871 or Sonya.Longbotham@stjoe.org. We hope you'll participate in this very special program!

We light candles in memory of those we love, so their light may continue to shine.
