Alumni Pain Support Group
Meets the fourth Tuesday of every month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the St. Jude Centers for Rehabilitation and Wellness, 2767 E. Imperial Hwy., Brea 92821. This support group is for graduates of the St. Jude Chronic Pain Program. Call (714) 578-8706 ext. 2351 for more information.
Anxiety Group
This group is facilitated by John Gardner, MFCC and is for individuals with anxiety and/or panic disorder. Offered the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month at 6 p.m. in the Erickson Education Center. A.W.A.K.E. CPAP Support Sleep Disorders
This support group is for individuals who have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and are using CPAP therapy. Groups meet the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Erickson Education Center, located on the St. Jude Medical Center campus. Brain Injury/Brain Attack Education Series
Meets every Monday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Rehabilitation Conference Room in the Basement of the medical center. Registration is required, by calling (714) 992-3000 ext. 3631.
Brain Tumor Support Group
Meets the first and third Monday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the St. Jude Breast Center. For more information call (714) 992-3000 ext. 2592.
Community Exercise Group
Adapted for a wide variety of disabilities, this physical therapist-supervised exercise class is offered every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. and Monday through Friday from 3 to 4 p.m. Held in the Neuro Rehabilitation gym at the Centers for Rehabilitation and Wellness. This program is designed for graduates of the rehabilitation program as a way to continue an exercise program after discharge. It is recommended that a caregiver or family member accompany the individual if one-on-one assistance is needed. $5 per session or $15 for four sessions. Designed to help meet the needs of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients, this workshop offers education and support for women going through the initial stages of diagnosis and treatment. Look Good, Feel Better
Learn to cope with the physical changes caused by cancer treatment. With the help of cosmetology professionals, patients discover that looking good really can make you feel better.
