While strokes are often associated with older people, they can happen at any age. The St. Jude Stroke Recovery Center provides an exceptional range of services to help patients of all ages reach their highest potential – mentally, emotionally and physically.
We offer the combined expertise of numerous specialties – from speech pathologists and rehabilitation medicine physicians to neuropsychologists and recreation – allowing us to maximize our patients' activity level and quality of life.
Traditional therapies – such as speech, physical and occupational therapy – play a critical role in recovery, as do specialized services designed to rebuild each patient’s confidence and skills: driver training, alternative medicine approaches, peer support, communication recovery groups, community outings, and many others. Families are an essential part of the rehabilitation process and are included in all aspects of care.
Whatever level of care is needed – hospitalization, day treatment programs, outpatient services or community programs – our Stroke Recovery Center is distinguished by its excellence and comprehensiveness. For more information about any of our services, please call us at (714) 992-3000 ext. 3886.
