When an injury occurs on the job, both worker and employer hope for a quick recovery. But a safe return to work depends on a correct diagnosis and determining the right course of treatment.
Our Industrial Rehabilitation Center blends industrial medicine, emergency medicine, physical and occupational therapy, computerized evaluations, and advanced conditioning programs – all designed to hasten the return to work and an active lifestyle.
Services include:
Industrial Screening
Enables employers to reduce the risk of work-related injuries by helping them better match an employee’s physical abilities with the work demands of the job.
Injury Prevention Program
Emphasizes the individual employee’s role in taking responsibility for his or her own health and well being. Employees are taught proper body mechanics, protection of the back against injury, and how to identify health and safety risks in the workplace.
Work Conditioning Program
Intensive, goal-oriented treatment which focuses on improving strength, endurance and awareness of body mechanics, through activity and work stimulation. Patients with traumatic hand, joint or back injuries, enter this outpatient program after the acute medical or surgical phase of their treatment. Work conditioning is designed to restore a patient’s capacity and function, allowing them to return to work.
Work Site Assessment
Evaluation of physical barriers in the work site as well as the patient’s ability to meet the physical requirements of the job. Our specialists work closely with employers and employees in making job site recommendations. |
