St. Jude offers Spiritual Care services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to patients, families and employees of all religious faiths. Our interfaith chaplains have been endorsed for hospital ministry through his or her own particular faith group, and many are ordained ministers.

Services include visitation, pastoral counseling, intervention, prayer, sacraments and bereavement counseling. Our chaplains are also available to provide assistance with bioethical issues, including aggressiveness-of-care and end-of-life treatment decisions.

Mass is celebrated Monday through Sunday in the hospital chapel, and volunteer Eucharistic Ministers provide daily bedside communion for patients who request it. In addition, specially trained Spiritual Care volunteers help throughout the hospital providing emotional and spiritual support wherever needed. An in-house television channel features music, spiritual programs and religious movies.
