If you are concerned that you might have a disease or a cancer, you can be assured that you’re in the best of hands. For more than 50 years, St. Jude and The Pathology Group have partnered to provide Orange and Los Angeles County patients and their physicians with the highest level of pathology diagnostic services and support.

The St. Jude Medical Center Pathology Department supports physicians by conducting diagnostic tests with state-of-the-art methods and the highest quality standards. Each pathologist is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. St. Jude’s Pathology Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and provides results to physicians within 24 to 48 hours.

For more information, please call (714) 992-3907.

What is Pathology?

Pathologists help doctors diagnose diseases and determine treatment recommendations by examining samples of fluids, blood, biopsies, and other specimens. In addition to examining and diagnosing surgical specimens, the pathologists supervise laboratory technicians, oversee the Blood Bank, ensure the quality and excellence of the tests performed and reported, and provide ongoing education to the medical staff.

Tests Performed
