Labor & Delivery: Patients, in collaboration with their nurse, will determine the number of visitors during the labor and delivery process. The patient's designated significant other will be issued an I.D. band, which needs to be worn during the duration of the stay. The first hour after delivery will be reserved for initial parent-infant bonding and newborn and maternal stabilization, after which family and friends will be invited to meet the baby.
Mother/Baby Unit: To support mother/baby bonding and rest, we ask that visitation be limited to the hours of 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., and 4 - 8 p.m. The patient's designated significant other/support person may remain with the patient to assist with newborn care at all times. Siblings of newborns may visit with adult supervision; however, to ensure rest for new mothers, they are not allowed to remain overnight.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): To reduce risk of infection and create a therapeutic environment, only immediate family members are allowed on this unit. Please contact the NICU for more information at (714) 626-8522.
