My favorite part of being a physician is helping patients improve not only their health, but their quality of life. Providing the best possible care means keeping up-to-date with new research, developments and treatments, as well as caring enough to provide more than "medicine-by-the-numbers." By getting to know each patient and looking at the whole picture – work, family, lifestyle and hobbies – you can individualize treatment to fit into their lives and more successfully help them accomplish their goals.
I bring two areas of expertise to patient care: over 20 years as an Internal Medicine/ Primary Care physician, as well as over a decade spent leading cutting-edge research into new treatments for type 2 diabetes, obesity, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. For me, being able to offer the latest developments in preventing and treating these conditions is an essential part of providing outstanding care.
