Areas of ExpertiseFamily Medicine
Too often medical care can become fragmented, yet patients benefit enormously from having one doctor who is committed to every aspect of their health—physical, emotional and psychological. Family medicine allows me to focus on the whole person, instead of just a narrow specialty or certain organ. One of my favorite elements of being a family doctor is the chance to really get to know my patients and learn how I can help maximize their health and quality of life.
I love the wide span of ages within my practice: I enjoy my conversations with 10-year-old patients as much as I enjoy the conversations with 46-year-old moms or 82-year-old grandfathers. My patients have a sense of being cared for—they recognize that their good health is my only priority. For me, the goal isn't just to treat an illness or specific condition, it's to improve a patient's life. Sometimes my job is two parts doctor, one part life coach, which means discovering my patient's needs and how I can meet them, so they can more effectively accomplish their goals and aspirations.
