Diabetes: This four-part program is nationally recognized by the American Diabetes Association (ADA), and provides information on the basic skills of self-managing diabetes. The ADA standards of care are outlined and healthy lifestyle changes are discussed. Also included, free-of-charge, is a home glucose meter.

Diabetes in Pregnancy: This class is specially designed for the mother with diabetes during pregnancy. Causes, risk factors, meal planning, exercise, blood sugar goals and healthy lifestyle changes are discussed. The goal of the class is to help women achieve normal blood sugars and meet the nutritional needs of the baby and mother.

Asthma: Asthma flare-ups can often be prevented. This class provides the patient with an understanding of the pathophysiology of asthma and basic knowledge of environmental control, medications and self-monitoring techniques, including use of the peak flow meter.

Heart Healthy Habits: This program discusses cholesterol, heart disease, and prevention. Diet, exercise, medications, low-fat cooking and additional resources are discussed to assist participants in developing "heart healthy" habits.

Hypertension: This class helps to increase awareness of the risk factors for high blood pressure (hypertension) and outlines prevention of possible complications of hypertension through living a healthy lifestyle and/or medical management by your physician.

Smoking Cessation: The goal of this class is to assist smokers who are ready to quit by providing tools to overcome the habit.
