Exercise is the key to healthy aging, and St. Jude Medical Center has developed specialized programs to help you stay strong, energetic and healthy.

Many seniors feel discouraged by fitness barriers, such as chronic health conditions or concerns about injury or falls, but the truth is you can't afford not to get moving. Exercise can help you manage the symptoms of illness and pain, maintain your independence, and even reverse some of the symptoms of aging. And not only is exercise good for your body—it's good for your mind, mood, and memory.

No matter your age or your current physical condition, you can benefit from exercise. Reaping the rewards of exercise doesn't require strenuous workouts or trips to the gym. It's about adding more movement and activity to your life, even in small ways.

Club Ped

All you need to take the first step to a healthier you is just that—a step. Staying active is the best way to maintain good physical, mental and emotional health. Finding a friend or buddy to join you in is even better! Join an organized group of active adults who enjoy striding down the path to good health while pacing through a safe, climate-controlled environment with well-lit and maintained walking surfaces at Brea Mall. Stretching, basic exercise and blood pressure checks are offered each week by certified fitness instructors.

Senior Yoga

Gentle group class designed to improve ease of movement, enhance breathing and increase mental focus. The exercises are taught in a progressive way and modified according to ability. Yoga practices are chosen that translate into everyday activities and increase stamina as well as reduce stress.

Young At Heart

This exclusive group fitness class is only available to individuals over the age of 50 who want to get healthy, be healthy and stay healthy. Young At Heart is a complete body workout that uses activities for cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and flexibility while emphasizing form and proper technique for safe, quality results.
